My wonderful sister, Amy, and brother-in-law, Jesse, are trying to adopt a child. They are two of the most fantastic parents I know, and I think it is truly amazing that they are answering the call that God has placed on their hearts. In doing so they need to raise approximately $18,000 for the application, home studies, and legal fees. This blog is to keep you updated with the fundraisers, and their adoption process.
Jesse has a Degree in Music Education from UT Arlington. He has taught band from 6th to 12th grade, and is currently a choir director for a middle school in Forney, Texas. Amy is a stay at home mom to my adorable niece, Victoria Faith. She is also involved in MOPS. Together they lead worship at Carroll Baptist Church in Southlake, Texas.
As I said earlier, it has always been in their hearts to adopt a child. Even before they had Faith they knew that's what they were supposed to do "some day." After much prayer and support from family, they knew it was time to take that step and move on to the next chapter.
